What We Are:
Ventosa Kennel is a police dog kennel providing police K9 training and producing unsurpassed police K9's for law enforcement and other working duties. We sell trained police dogs and we sell untrained or "green" police dogs that have been screened, selection tested, and ready to be trained. Our dogs are imported from working bloodlines in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Germany, Holland, and Belgium. Police K9 training and certification including patrol, narcotics detection, explosive detection, wildlife enforcement detection, and police tracking ? including Bloodhound training. We have been providing police canine training and police K9 sales since 1968!
Our goal is, and has always been, to train our clients to the highest level attainable. Our police dogs are second to none and our police K9 training school is second to none!
What We Are Not:
We are not a dog vendor selling sport dogs for police work. We do not import "trained", "finished", or "titled" competition sport dogs for resale to law enforcement agencies as trained "police dogs." Some U.S. trainers import European sport competition dogs ("titled" dogs) and sell to police departments, however we believe this is not generally a good practice. While some sport competition dogs can, with additonal or remedial training, be developed into a suitable police K9, many cannot. We only sell trained police K9's that we have imported as untrained or "green" adult dogs and have specifically selected for serious police K9 training at our facility.
The benchmark of our training is our rigid certification requirements. Every handler and police K9 officer training at our facilities must pass our rigid certification requirements before being allowed to graduate our program. Our certification requirements are more demanding than those issued by any police K9 certifying organization in the U.S. today. We guarantee that any police K9 team trained at Ventosa Kennel will be capable of passing certification requirements with any certifying organization in the U.S. Setting our certification standards higher requires us to deliver to our clients the best working dogs available. We are so confident in our ability to provide top quality dogs that we provide a one-year performance guarantee! If you are not satisfied with the performance of any dog trained and certified at Ventosa Kennel during this period, then we guarantee to provide remedial training for the K9 or the handler at no cost or if necessary, a trained replacement K9.
